Frank was living with his wife, Amanda, and his grandaughters, Mabel Seidt and Belle Walters, in Earl Township, Berks County, PA. Frank owned a farm and there was a mortgage on the house. Frank's occupation was a plasterer and he worked for himself doing odd jobs. The granddaughters were not attending school. Amanda had 5 children and only 2 were still living.

Samuel was living with his wife and 5 children, Annie, Benjamin, Emma, George and Franklin, on Hay Street in Birdsboro, PA. They were renting the house in which they lived. Annie, Benjamin and Emma were attending school. Mary had 5 children and all were still living. Samuel's occupation was listed as a blast furnace operator.

Benjamin's occupation was listed as a laborer in a rolling mill and George's occupation was listed as a laboer in a shoe factory. George and Franklin Steinmetz were attending school the year of the census.

Also living with them was their daughter Emma and her husband, Howard Raw, and their children, Emeline and Therma Raw. Samuel was paying $13 per month in rent for the house.The family owned a radio. Samuel's occupation was listed as a laborer in a steel foundry as was the occupation for Benjamin and Franklin. Franklin Seidts was not employed. Howard Raw's occupation was listed as a fireman for the railroad. The census indicates that Franklin Seitts did not attend school that year.
